The bag comes to you sterile, with a proprietary mix of CVG (that’s coco coir, vermiculite, gypsum) plus grain, all in one. All you need to do is inject through the port, then leave it to colonise.
Once you inoculate, the mycelium begins its work. After you see noticeable growth (around 30 % coverage), you mix the substrate by gently shaking or massaging the bag. When it’s fully colonised, you move into fruiting conditions: slightly cooler temperatures, high humidity, indirect light, and good airflow. Mushrooms begin to show within a few weeks, depending on strain and conditions.
You can expect yields of around 1 kg or more of fresh mushrooms, especially if the environment’s right. Once you’re harvesting, you might get multiple flushes, giving several rounds of produce for the effort.
